Our Journey
Since our inception, we have experienced tremendous growth, participating in numerous leagues throughout the Okanagan region. Our enthusiastic membership base includes both playing and social members, all united by their love for the sport. As pioneers of cricket in Vernon, BC, our mission is to foster a vibrant cricketing culture and to engage with various stakeholders to improve playing fields and support the growth of cricket.
Our Founders
The North Okanagan Cricket Club was founded by six dedicated individuals, led by our founder and president, Sanjeewa Ranasinghe. Originally from Sri Lanka, a nation renowned for its cricketing legends, Sanjeewa’s passion and sacrifices have been instrumental in our club’s success. His leadership, along with the efforts of the founding members, has propelled NOCC to professional standards, making us a respected entity in the cricketing world.
Community Engagement
At NOCC, we are committed to making a positive impact on our community. Over the past few years, we have hosted numerous events, inviting teams from Salmon Arm, Kelowna, Osoyoos, Kamloops, Revelstoke, and beyond. These events have not only elevated the standard of cricket in the region but also strengthened the bonds within our community.
